Dani Bicknell
Dani Bicknell is an author, educator, and cross-sector collaborator dedicated to bringing clarity, integrity, and cohesion to the digital mental health ecosystem. With more than a decade of experience across sectors, she has designed accelerator programs, frameworks, and research initiatives for UNESCO, UC Berkeley, global NGOs, large tech companies, and early-stage social impact ventures worldwide.
During the pandemic, Dani led accelerator and funder research that surfaced a defining insight: meaningful innovation emerges when founders, funders, and system enablers align around evidence, equity, and lived experience. This perspective shapes her approach to building infrastructure that empowers responsible digital mental health solutions to scale sustainably.
Dani co-founded MCert to address a core challenge of the current landscape: while digital mental health tools are rapidly proliferating, the infrastructure to evaluate, trust, and adopt them has not kept pace. Through MCert, she works with researchers, funders, policymakers, and innovators to establish the non-partisan Quality Standards that foster Systemic Trust, unlock responsible innovation, and benefit everyone seeking clarity in this complex market.
Dani Bicknell is a social impact strategist and startup advisor with 10+ years of experience supporting early-stage ventures and designing equitable accelerator programs. With a Master’s in Education and expertise in cross-sector collaboration, she builds initiatives that are accessible, actionable, and equity-driven.
She advises mental health startups as a fractional COO, leads CSR projects for tech companies like Atlassian and NVIDIA, and supports founders through Berkeley Skydeck and Nasdaq Milestone Circles. A Pivotal Ventures grantee, author, and educator, Dani champions inclusive design centered on lived experience.
She co-founded M.Cert to fill a key gap: digital mental health is advancing, but the systems to scale it equitably are under-resourced. Her work aligns investment, integrity, and access—starting with those most marginalized.
